The Platform for Better Oral Health is pleased to have endorsed the Alliance for a Cavity-Free Future ‘Making Cavities History’ Taskforce publication ‘A Global Consensus for achieving a dental cavity-free future’. This report aligns with the Platform’s objectives to alleviate the burden of oral health inequalities amongst European citizens by raising awareness of the significant personal, societal and economic burdens of dental caries, which have typically been invisible in health policies.

In the context of the World Health Assembly adoption of a Resolution on Oral Health, the Platform is also very much looking forward to how the Consensus and its policy recommendations will support policymakers globally to promote better oral health through reducing the occurrence of dental caries and cavities.
